The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension service is offering a continuation of its series Gardening in Small Spaces by Elaine Fagin on January 11, 2014.

The topic of the January class is pruning.

The class will be held from 8 am to 12 pm at the UNCE Lifelong Learning Center.

Tree Care: Best Practices Seminar

UNCE will also be offering its Annual Professional Tree Care Seminar and Workshop in English and in Spanish.

The English seminar will be January 31 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Spanish seminar will be held on February 7 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Early registration begins at 6 a.m.

Guest lecturers and speakers will present a variety of topics during the day focusing on Urban tree care: best practices-the mature years. The afternoon session will include hands on demonstrations.

The cost for the seminar which includes handouts, beverages and lunch is $20 with pre-registration or $25 at the door.

The seminars will be held at the Lifelong Learning Center located at 8050 Paradise Road, LV 89123.
