The first two weeks in January in Indiana showcase the new RV models for 2014. Two different RV shows run concurrently during this time. The Indy RV Expo is a multi-dealer show, while the Tom Raper RV show is a single dealer sales event.

The Indy RV Expo runs from January 11 - 19 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. This annual event is celebrating the 46th year it has opened its doors to RV enthusiasts. The show will be set up in the spacious and heated West Pavilion building at the fairgrounds.

The Indy RV Expo has seven different dealers participating this year. Each dealer will have an impressive selection of RVs on display. Over 60 different brands of RVs will be represented. Below is the list of dealers as of this writing.

Braun's Fun Time Campers
Camping World of Indianapolis
Colerain RV of Indianapolis
Lafayette Travel Trailer Sales
Modern Trailer Sales
Mount Comfort RV
Walnut Ridge Family RV Sales

In addition to the staff of the various dealerships there will factory representatives and financing experts on hand to answer questions and assist in financing arrangements. All of the dealers will be offering show only special pricing on many of the units on display. Information about campgrounds and camping will also be available.

Tickets are $7 for adults (17 - 59) and $6 for Seniors (60+). Kids under 17 are free with an adult admission. Check the website for two for one ticket specials and printable coupons as well as listings of hours. There will be a parking charge to park on the fairgrounds.

Another different type of RV show is also running during the first two weeks of January. Tom Raper RV in Richmond, Indiana is having a free RV show at their dealership. This dealer has three locations, with the Richmond business being the headquarters for the company. The flyer for the show states that the entire inventory of new and used RVs is on sale. It says the show is free, parking is free, and there is free lunch. The event runs through January 18, 2014.

This single dealer "RV Show" is of course a sales event offering their own inventory. The Tom Raper website lists many different brands and types of RVs. There are prizes listed for those attending the Tom Raper RV Show.

With the frigid weather hitting the Midwest a trip to an RV show just might be the best way to get excited about the upcoming RV season. You might pick up some good ideas about your RV adventures, and just might score that special deal on a new RV.
