Did you get a bread machine for the holidays, or do you have one that you’d like to use more often? January is the time to put that machine to good use, because it’s National Bread Machine Month. People in Buffalo and throughout the country are looking for healthier and less expensive ways to put together a meal, and a bread machine will work well with that plan.
Here are some online resources that will help you get the most out of your bread machine:
- “Education” section on the King Arthur Flour website – click on “Baking tips & primers” under “Learn Online” on the left side of the page and check out the bread machine section in the middle of the page. You’ll find useful information in “Bread machine basics,” “Introduction to bread machines” and “Bread machines & ingredients to help you out, whether it’s your first loaf or your 31st loaf.
- “Recipes” section on the King Arthur Flour website – any site that has such good information on using your machine is bound to have recipes to help you enjoy it! Click on “Recipes” at the top of the page, then check out the “Bread machine” section on the left side.
- About.com’s Baking guide, Carroll Pellegrinelli – Carroll has some simple tips on getting the most out of your bread machine, as well as a few tasty recipes to try.
- About.com’s Busy Cooks guide, Linda Larsen – Linda has a list of sites that will help you with everything from choosing a bread machine to converting basic bread recipes to machine-made recipes.
