Blood donation can take several forms. You can donate whole blood, platelets, plasma and double red cells. The frequency with which you can donate depends on what you are donating. You must also meet certain requirements in order to be eligible to donate blood. Some conditions may permanently remove you from the eligibility list, while most will only do so temporarily.
