January fun for foodies on the Treasure Coast

There are a couple of big events coming up for food and entertainment lovers this month!

The Frog Leg Festival returns to Fellsmere, January 17, 2013 through January 20, 2013. If you've been waiting a while to try Frog Legs and Gator Tails, this is an event you'd want to attend. Admission and parking is the best price ever...FREE! Aside from the legs and tails, there will be "regular" food there to enjoy. Live entertainment throughout the day, demonstrations, vendors and more. 22 S Orange Avenue, Fellsmere

I almost forgot to mention, for a fee of $4 - $8, you can view the Bull Frog Bash Rodeo at the Fellsmere Riding Club Arena: 13101 99th Street, Fellsmere.

The event hours for the weekend are as follows:

  • Thursday & Friday - 4PM - 11PM
  • Saturday - 11M - 9PM
  • Sunday - 11AM - 6PM

In St Lucie County, the 6th Annual Taste of Little Italy returns January 25, 2013 - January 27, 2013 in Tradition, Port St Lucie. Admission is $5 and kids 12 and under are free. Attendees will enjoy Italian food, music, entertainment and more. There will be lots of vendors, food eating contests and amazing street art by Jennifer Chaparro. Grand Marshal for this Italian Festival is Deana Martin, daughter of Dean Martin, who will perform "Dino" on Saturday. 10799 SW Civic Lane, Port St Lucie

In Martin County. The 7th Annual Port Salerno Seafood Festival is on January 26th, 10AM - 8PM. Enjoy fresh seafood, live music, over 200 vendors and activities for children. Adults are $5, kids 12 and under are admitted free. Located at the Waterfront on SE Park Drive in Port Salerno. Free shuttle services will be available at several locations.
