From Disney and Tim Burton comes the comedy-horror family film Frankenweenie, a remake of Burton's 1984 short film of the same name. The hilarious black and white 3D stop-motion animated masterpiece is a parody and pays homage to the 1931 film Frankenstein based on Mary Shelley’s novel. It features an all-star cast including the voices of Emmy Award winner Catherine O’Hara, Tony Award winner Martin Short, Academy Award winner Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron, Conchata Ferrell and Golden Globe winner Winona Ryder.

When young Victor Frankenstein loses his beloved dog Sparky, he is overcome by grief and wishes he could bring his best friend back to life. Harnessing the power of science, Victor succeeds in bringing Sparky back from the dead with the help of lightning. Adding a few minor adjustments -- such as sewing some doggy parts that fall off -- Sparky is as alive as can be. Initially, Victor tries to hide Sparky and keep him a secret, but soon word gets out about Sparky’s resurrection when he escapes.

Now that Victor’s fellow classmates know, they want to bring their pets back to life too for the town science fair. They sneak into Victor’s lab in the attic and try to perform their own experiments. However, the electrifying results are disastrous when the monstrous creations run wild and wreak havoc on the town. Now Victor and his classmates will have to quickly undo the damage before someone gets seriously hurt, even if it means saying goodbye to Sparky forever.
