January 7: Launchpad hosts the ‘Chaos Reborn Tour’

On January 7, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad hosts the “Chaos Reborn Tour,” featuring the following killer bands: Impending Doom, The Browning, Hearts and Hands, This or the Apocalypse, Thick as Blood, Fit for a King, and Tyrants. Doors for this 13+ show are scheduled to open at 6 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 6:30 p.m. Entry is $13 but is subject to change at the door.

California’s Impending Doom play Christian-inspired deathcore. The band has released three full-length CDs, the latest of which is titled Baptized in Filth.

Hailing from Kansas, The Browning play a combination of metal and electronica. The band’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Burn this World.

Utah’s Hearts and Hands play pop-driven metal and rock. The band’s EP is self-titled.

This or the Apocalypse play metalcore. The band’s latest CD is titled Dead Years.

Formed in 2004, Thick as Blood continue the tradition of South Florida straightedge hardcore. Their latest full-length CD is titled Living Proof.

Texas’ Fit for a King play Christian metalcore. The band’s debut CD is titled Descendants. Fit for a King will release a new album in 2013.

Rio Rancho’s Tyrants play a combination of hardcore, metal, and ambient.

Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
