From the director of Gattaca comes the sexy sci-fi action thriller film In Time starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Olivia Wilde, Alex Pettyfer, Johnny Galecki and Vincent Kartheiser. In the future in 2161, every second counts where time is literally money. Genetic alteration stops aging at 25 and afterward additional time must be earned, borrowed, stolen or inherited. An implant on people’s lower arm counts down the amount of time left until instantaneous death hits at the zero mark.
Will Salas is a 28-year-old poor, working-class man who suddenly receives 116 years worth of time from a rich man he saves from a time robbery by the Minutemen mobster boss Fortis. When the rich man later turns up dead, Will becomes the prime suspect. As he dodges the resident police force called the Timekeepers, a bus fare increase causes his mother to “time out” before he can transfer time to her. Impacted by her death, he decides to leave the ghetto and head to where the rich live to get revenge. Once there, he meets the beautiful heiress Sylvia Weis where in a series of events, they both end up getting their time stolen. With their life clocks quickly running out, they team up to steal time for the poor and bring down the corrupt system, disrupting the status quo.
