The long wait for the Ultimate Edition release of Michael Bay’s Academy Award-nominated film Transformers: Dark of the Moon is finally over. As promised, it is jam-packed with over 3 hours of behind-the-scenes special features that will blow you away and includes the Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy. Owners of the previous barebones version released on September 30, 2011 can now upgrade with the $10 coupon (expires 6/30/12) that was included inside.

Also releasing on the same day is the Transformers 7-Disc Limited Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Trilogy.

From Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg comes Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the third installment in the Transformers film series. Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and John Turturro reprise their starring roles and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong and Frances McDormand join the cast. Peter Cullen and Hugo Weaving return to voice the characters Optimus Prime and Megatron. Leonard Nimoy, Keith Szarabajka, Ron Bottitta, John DiMaggio, George Coe and Francesco Quinn join the voice cast.

After the Decepticons’ defeat in Tranformers: Revenge of the Fallen, they have been plotting to destroy the Autobots. The opportunity comes when they discover the Ark, a Cybertronian spacecraft, that had crash landed on the Moon and carried a comatose Sentinel Prime, who is Optimus Prime’s predecessor and the key to activating the Pillars used for teleportation.

The Decepticons lure the Autobots to revive Sentinel Prime, who makes a deal with the Decepticons in order to preserve the Cybertronian race. Betrayed by their own, Optimus Prime and the Autobots must stop Sentinel Prime and Megatron’s evil plans to send the Decepticon armies to Earth and transport Cybertron to the Milky Way via the Pillars. With the help of Sam Witwicky and the human allies, the Autobots battle once again to protect the Earth’s resources and save humanity from enslavement.
