On January 28, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad hosts an Eve of an End EP release party, with guests Requiem Mass, Walls Within, and Fall to Ash. Doors for this 21+ show open at 8:00 pm, with the first band taking the stage at 9:00 pm. Entry is only $5.
Albuquerque’s Eve of an End were formed in the spring of 2005. Since then, the band has played more than 100 shows, culminating in its win of the 94Rock Battle of the Bands in July 2010. The band’s new EP is titled Dawn of Rebellion.
Albuquerque’s Requiem Mass play blistering metal with progressive touches. The band’s latest CD is titled The Cure. They have performed alongside Soulfly, Cannibal Corpse, Soilwork, and many others.
Albuquerque’s Walls Within play progressive metal that combines the heavy with the melodic. The band is currently working on its debut full-length studio CD.
Hailing from Albuquerque, Fall to Ash are an all-Native-American band who play heavy metal driven by thrash.
Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
