In this riveting story filled with intrigue and espionage, behind the shocking headlines reveal the WikiLeaks’ rebel founder Julian Assange and his quest to expose fraud and corruption. Using the internet, he reaches out to the widest audience possible with the help of journalist Daniel Domscheit-Berg, his early supporter and eventual colleague. At first Daniel sees Assange as a mentor and WikiLeaks as a noble enterprise, however disturbing information of Assange’s past makes Daniel question his motives. As governments try to stop them, the two battle over whether the cost of exposing the most explosive leaks in history is too high, especially when they release a series of controversial and history-changing information leaks that put many American informants’ lives in danger and force many American diplomats to resign. WikiLeaks' overnight success brings instant fame to its principal architects and ultimately transforms the flow of information to news media and the world at large.

Bonus features include three featurettes. In “The Submission Platform: Visual Effects,” this featurette explores the VFX challenges of bringing the submission platform to life -- from conception and pre-viz, through on-set photography and post. In “In Camera: Graphics,” the featurette studies the techniques and work involved in capturing the on screen graphics in camera, and allowing realistic interaction with the actors’ performances. And “Scoring Secrets” is a detailed examination of the soundscape created by both the composer Carter Burwell as he records his score, and the film’s music supervisor as songs are chosen for the unique soundtrack.
