Inspired by actual events, the dramatic thriller The Whistleblower is written and directed by Larysa Kondracki and stars Academy Award winners Rachel Weisz and Vanessa Redgrave, along Oscar nominee David Strathairn. The film tells the story of Nebraska cop Kathryn Bolkovac, played by Weisz, who accepts a U.N. peacekeeper position in post-war Bosnia. There her hopes to help rebuild a devastated country are dashed when she uncovers a deadly sex trafficking ring and an international conspiracy involving the U.S. private military company Democra Corp and the United Nations. Risking her own life to save others, she comes faces to face with powerful dangerous forces that will do anything to stop her.
