It's January 2014! January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month. What are Colorado resorts doing to welcome the New Year and celebrate Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month? Here are a couple of Colorado resorts offering great deals for new skiers/snowboarders to take lessons with a professional instructor.

  • Arapahoe Basin (www.a-basin.net)- offers Super Sunday Specials for first-timers and 4 Lessons 4 U.
  • Powderhorn (www.powderhorn.com)- offer a $99 beginner special for ages 8 and up. Powderhorn is also offering a Learn to Ski and Ride Season Pass Series.
  • Durango Mountain Resort (www.durangomountainresort.com)- offering a $79 beginner package for 1 day and a 2 day package for $158. Plus, all Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month beginners get a 20% discount on lodging.

The organizers of Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month started a new initiative back in 2013 called the Bring a Friend Challenge.
