On January 2, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad presents Dischorida, Echoes of Fallen, End to End, and Defleshment. Doors for this 21+ show are scheduled to open at 8 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 9 p.m. Entry is only $5 but is subject to change at the door.
Hailing from Oklahoma, Dischordia play progressive death metal. The band has toured extensively across the country, opening for acts such as The Faceless, Vital Remains, and Dying Fetus. Dischordia’s latest full-length studio CD is titled Project 19.
Hailing from Belen and Albuquerque, Echoes of Fallen play a combination of ripping death metal and punishing grindcore. The band’s self-titled demo was released in 2007.
Albuquerque’s End to End play no-nonsense blackened death metal sure to easily grip you around your bloated throat. Expect no mercy.
Hailing from the Laguna Pueblo, Defleshment play brutal death metal. The band cites as influences Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, and Left to Rot.
Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
