January 19: Burt’s Tiki Lounge presents The Ground Beneath and more

On January 19, Burt’s Tiki Lounge presents The Ground Beneath, Beard, and Eve of an End. Doors for this 21+ show open at 9 p.m. And remember, at Burt’s Tiki Lounge there is never a cover.

Albuquerque’s The Ground Beneath play Southern-driven metal with plenty of sass. The band is currently working on a new album. The Ground Beneath average around 80 shows each year, traveling across the 13 states that surround New Mexico. Get their CDs at Amazon.

Albuquerque’s Beard play a combination of doom and power metal—what they call space punk. As the band says: “Beard is bullsh#t. . . . Crank it!” The band’s debut CD it titled Black Unicorn.

Albuquerque’s Eve of an End were formed in the spring of 2005. Since then, the band has played more than 100 shows, culminating in its win of the 94Rock Battle of the Bands in July 2010. The band has released its debut EP, Dawn of Rebellion, which captures its fusion of metal, punk, and pop music.
