On January 11, Farmington’s Studio 18 celebrates four years of brutal, DIY metal! On hand for the celebration are Heavy Metal Blood Drive, Aetranok, Decayed Angel, WxAxR, and Paranormal Slaughter. This all-ages show is at 6 p.m. Tickets are only $3!

Hailing from Aztec, New Mexico, Aetranok play black metal. The band’s debut demo, Grande Invokation, was released in late 2012.

Shiprock’s Decayed Angel play pornogrind. Their latest full-length studio CD is titled Through the Eyes of the Perverted.

Shiprock’s WxAxR play “pure vio-lent, in-your-face thrash metal.” The band is currently based in Farmington. WxAxR are currently working on a new EP, this one titled Mega Metal.

Formed in 2008, Farmington’s Paranormal Slaughter play blackened death metal. The band is currently working on its debut CD, titled Shadows of Darkness. They also happen to run Studio 18, an underground venue based in Farmington that has attracted local, national, and even international talent.
