On January 10, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad welcomes Caustic Lye, Distances, The Scarlet Ruse, and Tractor Trailer. Doors for this 21+ show are scheduled to open at 8 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 9 p.m. Entry is only $5 but is subject to change at the door
Albuquerque’s Caustic Lye play a volatile mixture of melodic harmonies and aggressive rhythms with all-out explosive energy and sociopolitical and personal rants. Caustic Lye’s latest CD is titled That That Is Is.
Albuquerque’s Distances can get quite harsh and fast at times, although the band does play a more refined style of the Gothenburg sound with a progressive streak.
Albuquerque’s The Scarlet Ruse play a combination of hardcore and metal. The band’s latest EP, The Truth About Lamia, is available on itunes.
Rio Rancho’s Tractor Trailer play heavy but progressive rock music. The has released a demo titled Konvoy, so be sure to check it out.
Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
