From Roland Joffé, the director of The Killing Fields and The Mission, comes the historical epic film There Be Dragons, starring Charlie Cox, Wes Bentley, Rodrigo Santoro, Derek Jacobi, Geraldine Chaplin, Jordi Mollà, Golshifteh Farahani, Dougray Scott, Olga Kurylenko, Unax Ugalde and Lily Cole. Set in the 1980s, Spanish journalist Robert is assigned to write a book about real life priest Josemaría Escrivá, the founder of Opus Dei and a candidate for sainthood. Through his research, he hopes the project will bring him closer to his estranged father Manolo, who has a long-buried connection to Escrivá. As Robert delves deeper into his father’s past, he uncovers Manolo and Escrivá’s complicated relationship from childhood through the horrors of the Spanish Civil War. He learns dark secrets about love, betrayal, faith and forgiveness that change his life forever.
