Janet Jackson is married. The singer, who has been denying reports that she married her billionaire boyfriend, Wissam Al Mana, secretly wed in 2012, Us Weekly reported on Feb. 25.
According to the report, Janet and Wissam were married in December of 2012. However, Jackson says the rumors about an extravagant wedding are false.
Janet Jackson says she was married in a quiet ceremony. "The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private and beautiful ceremony,” the “Rhythm Nation” singer said in a statement.
"Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children's charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy,” Janet added.
This marriage is the third for Jackson, who split from her longtime boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri in 2009. She was previously married to James DeBarge and Rene Elizondo.
It seems marriage isn’t the only thing on Janet Jackson’s mind. “She wants kids,” a source revealed. “If she can’t have them, she will adopt.”
