Many celebrities are signing up with weight-loss companies to get in shape for the new year. Janet Jackson has sealed a deal with Nutrisystem just in time for weight-loss season which typically begins after the holidays. Nutrisystem's newest national advertising campaign hopes to lure consumers who are planning their New Years resolutions in January 2012. Janet calls the new Nutrisystem program the "Success Plan" and the tagline is "Janet Jackson got on it and you can too".
Janet Jackson says in an interview,
"I am an emotional eater. There are people that don't eat when they're stressed. I eat when I stress, when I'm down, when I'm in that state of not being in the greatest space and that's my place of comfort that I go to for that moment. Then I kick myself after doing it."
"Dieting never worked for me, counting calories never worked for me, and denying myself the foods I love never worked for me. I needed a better plan."
That is where Nutrisystem comes in with their Success Plan. The public will be able to witness Janet lose the weight just like other past celebrities have done. Janet Jackson has had a well publicized and documented history of weight issues. Hopefully her story will inspire and motivate others to get on the program as well.
