Rumors that Janet Jackson is engaged have been flying the past few days, she put those rumors to rest by announcing she is not engaged, she is married. Jackson married Wissam Al Mana last year. People confirmed the marriage earlier today.

In a joint statement released by the couple according to E online the couple stated, "The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony."

The couple went on to say, "Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children’s charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy. With love, Wissam and Janet"
