Janet Jackson is married, reports Yahoo! News on Feb. 25, 2013. The 46-year-old singer confirmed Monday that she and businessman Wissam al Mana married last year. This is the third marriage for Janet and the second secret one. After marrying and divorcing James DeBarge in 1984, she wed Rene Elizondo Jr. in 1991. The "Rhythm Nation" singer and her new spouse said their wedding was a "quiet, private and beautiful ceremony."
Given how the press is able to cover a celebrity's wedding whether the celebrity says it's okay, it may be no wonder that many stars figure out ways to wed in secret. Janet Jackson is not the only celebrity to do so. Actor Ryan Reynolds and actress Scarlett Johansson secretly wed in 2008. Reynolds later married Blake Lively in secret in 2012. In 2010, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green got married before the press knew it, and Natalie Portman married Benjamin Millepied in secret in 2012.
How long will Janet Jackson stay married? Since this is number three for Michael Jackson's little sister, one wonders how long it will last.
