Confirmation of Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana’s marriage came through recently on Entertainment Tonight. The couple confirmed wedding vows were exchanged in a secretive wedding ceremony in 2012.
There were rumors flying that Jackson and billionaire beau Al Mana had married in an extravagant wedding setting. Jackson and Al Mana tells ET that is simply not true. They were married in a private and beautiful ceremony, without all the fanfare.
The two not only exchanged vows but gave each other special gifts for their wedding day. Each shared contributions with their partner’s favorite children’s charity.
Janet And Wissam asked that their privacy be respected and asked for this time to celebrate and feel joy over their newlywed status. They tell ET:
The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a private and beautiful ceremony. Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children’s charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy. With love, Wissam and Janet.
This is the third marriage for Jackson. She was married to James DeBarge in 1984 and to Rene Elizonda Jr. from 1991 to 2000.
