West of Versailles, Whitfield lives in an historic house renovated in the 1870s – with an interesting connection to the outdoors: a courtyard with a cedar of Lebanon at its center. Simplicity rocks the house - a compendium of putty and off-white, natural linens, and pale damasks, which add character to the wide, bright open spaces.

A gentle mix of historic pieces and flea market finds create a personality that is both modern and rustic – offset by Farrow & Ball wallcoverings that contribute an air of elegance. The simplicity of the putty and off-white palette lend dimension and depth to the broad floral patterns.
