Jane’s Short and Sweet a bakery in College Park, Florida is more than just another great shortbread cookie treat. On March 12, Click Orlando reported on owner and baker, Jane Hursh’s mission to help women and children enslaved in human trafficking in the U.S. and internationally. Jane’s love for baking turned into a business not to make money but to help charities including their 306 Foundation which focuses on rescuing and restoring victims.
Jane and her husband John Hursh, president of the 306 Foundation are not the first to start a business just to give away all of their profits. Newman’s Own founded by actor/director, Paul Newman has given away over $300 million so far.
