August 29, 2010 -- Jane Lynch of Glee has won the Best Supporting Actress in a comedy at the Emmys. This evenings competition at the 62nd annual Primetime Emmy Awards was a tough decision with more than one nominee deserving the title.

The 62nd annual Primetime Emmy Awards are held at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, California. The event hosted by Jimmy Fallon, has stars celebrate the art of television. This year the show is extra special with George Clooney receiving the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award.
The Primetime Emmy Awards are awards presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in recognition of excellence in American primetime television programming. According to the Wikipedia, the first awarded in 1949, they were originally referred to as just the "Emmy Awards" until the first Daytime Emmy Award ceremonies were held in the 1970s, and the word "primetime" was added to disambiguate between the two.
