Jan 18 2013, What to watch: 'Nikita', 'Fringe', 'Blue Bloods', more

For Friday, January 18th 2013 LA TV Insider Examiner recommends:

Nikita (The CW, 8 p.m.) – “Intersection” – Birkhoff (Aaron Stanford) tells Nikita (Maggie Q) that Sonya (guest star Lyndie Greenwood) is Amanda’s (Melinda Clarke) mole and not only has Amanda reactivated Sonya’s kill chip but she also placed a second mole in Division to keep an eye on her. Nikita, Michael (Shane West) and Ryan (Noah Bean) devise a plan to use Sonya to ferret out Amanda’s hiding place and Birkhoff sets a trap for the second mole. Meanwhile, Michael confronts Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) about her drug use and she begs him not to tell Nikita.

Fringe (FOX, 8 p.m.) – “Liberty” / “An Enemy of Fate” – The series concludes with a dangerous mission for Olivia (Anna Torv) and the Fringe team’s final battle against the Observers.

Blue Bloods (CBS, 10 p.m.) – “Framed” – When Danny’s (Donnie Wahlberg) car matches an NYPD description of a vehicle involved in a drug deal, he is stopped and taken into custody when a bag of cocaine is found in his trunk. Meanwhile, the Reagans band together to come to his defense.

Portlandia (IFC, 10 p.m.) – “Squiggleman” – Concerned parents put together a band that plays music for children, and the Portland Nerd Council produces a public service announcement, while a couple has an uneasy lunch at a vegan restaurant, and the feminist bookstore holds a comedy night.

Merlin (Syfy, 10 p.m.) – "The Death Song of Uther Pendragon" – Arthur (Bradley James) is torn between his head and his heart after a stranger gives him the power to summon the dead at a time he desperately wants to see his deceased father again.
