Jan 17 2013, What to watch: 'Scandal', 'Archer', 'Legit', more

For Thursday, January 17th 2013 LA TV Insider Examiner recommends:

30 Rock (NBC, 8 p.m.) – “Florida” – Jack (Alec Baldwin) encourages Liz (Tina Fey) to be spontaneous and accompany him on a trip to Florida where they uncover a shocking secret about his mother. In Liz’s absence, Tracy (Tracy Morgan) and Jenna (Jane Krakowski) assume responsibility for “TGS” with disastrous results for Kenneth (Jack McBrayer.)

Parks and Recreation (NBC, 8:30 p.m.) – “Two Parties” – Ann (Rashida Jones) throws a bachelorette party for Leslie (Amy Poehler) but her plans are derailed when Councilman Jamm interferes. Chris (Rob Lowe) throws a game night at Ben's (Adam Scott) but things take a turn when he realizes none of the guys ever had their own bachelor parties.

Scandal (ABC, 10 p.m.) – "A Criminal, a Whore, an Idiot and a Liar" – Changes continue to rock the White House, as we also flashback to learn more about the rigged election. Meanwhile, things get heated between Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Edison after he makes a shocking accusation.

Archer (FX, 10 p.m.) – “Fugue and Riffs” – Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) finds himself working a burger grill on the shore, with a wife and a couple of step-kids, going by the name of Bob, but when the KGB attacks the restaurant, he runs to a spa to figure out who he really is.

Legit (FX, 10:30 p.m.) – “Pilot” – Jim Jefferies, taking his first baby steps toward legitimacy and trying to do a good deed, treats his close friend Billy (DJ Qualls), suffering from advanced stage Muscular Dystrophy and confined to a wheelchair, to a debauchery filled road trip to a whorehouse in Las Vegas.
