The Carrie Diaries (The CW, 8 p.m.) – “Pilot” – Recently, life hasn’t been smooth sailing for 16-year-old Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb)– her mother just passed away, her rebellious younger sister Dorritt (Stefania Owen) is acting out, and their father Tom (Matt Letscher) is struggling to raise two teenage daughters alone. As Carrie begins the first day of her junior year, she can’t help but feel as though all eyes are on her, and a pity party from rival Donna LaDonna (Chloe Bridges) doesn’t help the situation. Even when surrounded by her group of friends, Mouse (Ellen Wong), Maggie (Katie Findlay), and Walt (Brenden Dooling), Carrie feels as though her life should be heading in a different direction. The arrival of new guy Sebastian Kydd (Austin Butler) brings Carrie some excitement, but it isn’t until she accepts an internship at a Manhattan law firm that things begin to fall into place. In the city, Carrie meets Larissa Loughlin (Freema Agyman), a free-spirited, outgoing style editor at Interview magazine, who introduces her to a world she’s only dreamt of. Bunheads (ABC Family, 9 p.m.) – "Channing Tatum is a Fine Actor” – Michelle (Sutton Foster) tries to help Truly (Stacy Oristano) renegotiate her lease after she is evicted from her shop. Boo (Kaitlyn Jenkins) asks for Michelle's advice when Carl insists that she meet his parents. Meanwhile, Michelle is skeptical when she is set up on a blind date with her older boyfriend's friend, and the girls are intrigued by the multi-talented, new kids in town (guest stars Jeanine Mason and Niko Pepaj).
Castle (ABC, 10 p.m.) – "Under the Influence" – When an up and coming DJ is killed at a pop star's (Taylor Cole) album release party, Beckett (Stana Katic) and Castle (Nathan Fillion) must dive into the raucous world of New York's music industry. Then, when the investigation leads to a troubled teenager, Esposito (Jon Huertas) takes the kid under his wing, hoping to put him on the right track before it's too late.
Hawaii Five-0 (CBS, 10 p.m.) – “Kapu” – The 5-0 team investigates the death of an Oahu State University professor. His boss (Scott Morgan), teaching assistant (Ward Roberts), and one student he busted for cheating (Patrick Pintor) are the viable suspects, and the guilty verdict is all up to the audience.
