Charlotte, NC – Bring your air guitar and your dancing shoes to Neighborhood Theatre on Friday, April 13, 2012 when jam band, Perpetual Groove stops by to rock the house. Their original keyboard player, Matt McDonald has returned to the band, something fans are calling PG 2.012, referring to the “definitive lineup” of the band. General admission tickets are $15 and VIP tickets are $30. VIP includes a server and reserved seat. Doors open at 8:30 PM and the show begins with The Broadcast at 9 PM.
Perpetual Groove's music has evolved into a genre-bending, highly original sound that touches upon jazz-rock, neo-psychedelia, R&B, trance electronica, progressive rock, and anthemic arena rock.Current band members include Adam Perry (Bass), Brock Butler (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Albert Suttle (Drums), and Matt McDonald (Keyboard).
Perpetual Groove is a fan favorite at music festivals all over U.S including All Good Music Festival, Bonnaroo, Jam Cruise, and Jazz Fest. The band has also made appearances at International events such as Jam in the Dam and Caribbean Holidaze. As if playing all of these festivals is not enough, the band has their very own music festival, Amberland. Amberland XI, Perpetual Groove’s Memorial Day weekend Arts & Music Festival, will take place May 25th-28th, 2012 on 260 acres at Cherokee Farms in LaFayette, GA.
Accompanying Perpetual Groove at the show is six-piece, soul infused dance rock band, The Broadcast. The band is led by Caitlin Krisko, whose commanding voice has been described by Cosmopolitan Magazine as “drenched in honey, and dripping with soul”. The Broadcast formed in Brooklyn, NY in 2007 and relocated to Ashville, NC in 2010. This groovy group has performed at SXSW and their music has been featured on various MTV and VH1 programs.
