Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger sibling of Britney Spears, had her own gig in Vegas on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Gilley's Saloon, Dance Hall & Bar-B-Que according to a report from Daily Mail.

Jamie Lynn was excited to be in Vegas and performing there, as evident by her tweet early in the day saying, ‘Playing a listener appreciation concert for @thecoyote1027 tonight in Vegas at @TIGilleys!!’ The country music artist spent her day around and about town and also took in a ride on a roller coaster.

Jamie Lynn took to the stage Monday night at Gilleys to delight her country music fans wearing a short black dress, a long gray fitted jacket and a pair of short brown boots. While the outfit doesn't seem like much of presenting a stage presence, Jamie Lynn rocked the look which suited her own personal style and personality.

Jami Lynn did not disappoint her fans and delivered several new songs from her new album, including her current hit single, "How Could I Want More," as well as other tunes. Her venture into country music was not a spur of the moment decision. Jamie Lynn has been considering a career in country music and preparing for it for the past several years. The actress/country music artist and songwriter apparently did her homework well, as she has been noticed by those in the business and has gained a large number of fans in her first year in the business.

Spears, a newly wed, has been touring all across the United States to promote her new album, "The Journey," and her current hit single, "How Could I Want More" which Spears co-wrote with Rivers Rutherford, a popular Nashville songwriter. Her debut into country music has been successful and has landed her a gig this past February opening up for Alan Jackson, booking large country music festivals, small venues and private events. Jamie may not have a residency in Vegas like her big sister Britney, but she is well on her way to establishing her career as a top notch country music artist.

Jamie has also had good support from her father in choosing a career in country music, as this is something Jamie's dad has been suggesting for many years. After falling totally in love with country music, Jamie decided to give it a whirl.

Jamie Lynn's next concert performance will be at the Buckle Up Music Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 18, 2014. She will also be hitting Illinois, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania before the end of July with concert performances.

With a successful debut of her first single, it will be interesting to follow Jami Lynn on her "Journey" in the country music field. Personally, I think she has what it takes and the voice to become one of the leading ladies in country music in modern times.
