It appears official that Nickeloden star Jamie Lynn Spears is engaged. The former star of "Zoey 101" and sister of singer Britney Spears is reportedly engaged to Jamie Watson, whom she's been dating for several years. Jamie Lynn is hoping this engagement goes forth as planned, seeing as her previously-intended marriage didn't go forth.
A report on March 3 from Extra gives the news about Jamie Lynn and also includes several recent Instagram photos she has posted. They display the happy couple together with Spears showing off her rock. Another photo gives a close-up shot of the ring on her finger. Jamie Lynn added hashtag comments including "#Hedidgood" and "Guesssss what??????" along with the photos.
Jamie Lynn is currently age 21, while Watson is 30. Reportedly, the couple has been dating "on and off for three years." Spears was previously engaged to Casey Aldridge, who is also her 4-1/2-year-old daughter's baby daddy. The two called off their engagement in 2009, then tried for a reconciliation the next year, but things just didn't work out. Spears and Aldridge called it quits relationship-wise in November of 2010.
Jamie Lynn Spears played the lead role of Zoey Brooks on television's "Zoey 101" series for 65 episodes. The series ran from 2005 through 2008. Spears also appeared on the show "All That" from 2002 through 2004 as a regular and in one episode of the show "Miss Guided" in 2008. Her sister, Britney, was working on TV's "X Factor" on Fox up until leaving before the upcoming season so she could work on her music more.
