Jamie Lynn Spears announced her engagement on Twitter to 30-year-old businessman Jamie Watson. USA Today reported on March 4 that 21-year-old Jamie Lynn is officially engaged. Spears showed off her new engagement ring in a photo she posted to her Twitter account on Sunday and tweeted, "Guess what??????"
Britney Spears' younger sister Jamie Lynn just recently ended her engagement to Casey Aldridge, the father of her her 4-year-old daughter Maddie. Jamie and her new fiance have reportedly been dating off and on for the last three years.
Jamie Lynn couldn't be happier about the engagement news. Spears followed up her Twitter announcement Sunday with #hedidgood and a close-up photo of the diamond engagement ring.
Currently, Jamie is also attempting to launch her music career and splits her time between Nashville and Kentwood, La. Watson told the New York Post that Jamie tries to be in the Louisiana area most of the time since her daughter Maddie attends school in the Kentwood area.
In other not-so-happy news, Jamie's pop star sister Britney Spears ended her engagement to former fiance Jason Trawick. Britney and Jason had also been dating for three years, but decided to call it quits this last January. According to Britney, even though they decided to call off their engagement, she will always adore him and they will remain great friends.
