Jamie Lynn Spears got engaged, and Britney Spears is over the moon about the news. She took to Twitter to express her joy. US Weekly reported on March 4 that the pop star congratulated her little sister on the social networking site.
Brit Brit said that she's very happy for Jamie Lynn. She was also "so excited" to hear about the news. Britney ended her tweet on a sweet note by telling her little sis that she loves her.
The engagement news must be hard to swallow for Britney. She recently broke off her engagement with Jason Trawick. The couple was supposed to wed by late spring or early summer of this year.
Big sister Spears was also married twice before. She married old friend Jason Alexander for a total of 55 hours in Las Vegas. About a year later, she married Kevin Federline in a private ceremony. Spears has two children with Federline.
Jamie Lynn Spears shared her engagement joy on Twitter this weekend. She uploaded a photo of her engagement ring with the caption, "Guesssss what??????" [sic] The 21-year-old also shared a photo of her with 30-year-old Watson holding her. Jamie Lynn and Jamie Watson have been dating for three years.
