Jamey Johnson up close and personal on 'The Guitar Song'

Jamey Johnson is back and if history is proof this talented singer / songwriter is going to strike gold and give the fans something great. The Guitar Song due in stores September 14 is a 25-song double album.  The album tracks are a thematically linked sets of songs dubbed the Black Album and the White Album.

"The original idea was always to do a double album," says Johnson. "It is an album that is a tale. The first part is a very dark and sordid story. Then everything after that is progressively more positive, reassuring and redemptive."

There is much anticipation from music fans as well as the industry for Johnson's follow-up album to his Grammy-nominated That Lonesome Song. Johnson’s rich voice and songwriting skill propelled him to the top of the country charts and earned him the Music Row Award for Breakthrough artist  last year.

He also won the song of the year honor for co-writing “In Color” with the MuzikMafia’s James Otto and Lee Thomas Miller. "In Color"  received a Grammy nomination. Johnson is already receiving critical acclaim for his new release.
