James Wesley, who was born in Mound Valley Kansas and lived in Eureka Springs, Arkansas for 12 years, opened Blacktop Boogie 2013, Sunday, August 25 at the Clear Channel Metroplex parking lot in Little Rock, Arkansas. The event sponsored by radio station KSSN 96 FM, also featured Jana Kramer, Dustin Lynch, Kellie Pickler and Joe Nichols.
Wesley warmed up the crowd with a five song set that included his first two Top 20 Country singles, "Real" and "Didn't I." He talked about the importance of hearing a song on the radio before he performed "See You On The Radio." "Thank A Farmer," his new single received a good reception from Boogie goers. He has a fun name for his band, "The Farm Boy Band."
