Now that some time has passed, we can talk about the man, the not-so-myth, the absolute legend James Taylor.
At Fenway Park in Boston, on Game 2 of the World Series, Taylor started singing the words to "America The Beautiful" before switching back over to the national anthem, in true colors of his shining spirit.
The "flub" was understandable as he was scheduled to sing "America The Beautiful" during the 7th inning of the game, and quickly noticing his mistake, switched back over to the national anthem.
Even though many fans caught the mistake, the transition was so fluid that it was hard not to appreciate, proving once again, nothing this man does can ever sound bad.
(Besides remember when Christina Aquilera completely botched the lyrics? I mean she's an American, and she screwed up the one song we should all know. Kudos, btw).
In other news, it's Scott Weiland's birthday! The 46 year old singer was born today in 1967 and would go on to perform the vocal work for Stone Temple Pilots, a band you probably know because you watch Sons Of Anarchy.
They are a truly remarkable rock band, so check them out if you already haven't, and let us know in the comments what you thought of James Taylor's interesting performance Thursday night.
