The inauguration of the President of the United States was celebrated today, Monday, January 21.
Music artists James Taylor, Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson were among performers at the event for President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

Beyonce performed "The Star-Spangled Banner".

Kelly Clarkson performed “My Country ‘Tis Of Thee".

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir opened the musical portion of the ceremony with "Battle Hymn of the Republic".

The weekend held several music events including the Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball honoring of John Legend, 2 Chainz, Doug E. Fresh and MC Lyte, the Our Time.org event with Will.i.am. T-Pain, Common and John Legend, the Latino Inaugural Ball featuring Marc Anthony, the Inauguration Children's concert featuring cast members from Glee, Katy Perry, Usher and more.
