James Spader joins The Office

'The Office' returns to NBC for a new season on Thursday, September 22, 2011, (9:00 p.m - 9:31 p.m.). The new regional manager of Dunder Mifflin is revealed and faces a crisis. Emmy winner James Spader joins the cast, which includes. Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Ed Helms, B.J. Novak, Leslie David Baker, Phyllis Smith, Angela Kinsey, Brian Baumgartner, Oscar Nunez, Kate Flannery, Paul Lieberstein, Mindy Kaling, Creed Bratton, Craig Robinson, Ellie Kemper and Zach Woods also star.

Michael Scott (Steve Carell) has left 'The Office' and the cast speculates about his replacement in the attached preview video from NBC.  The Dunder Mifflin staff accidentally discovers a list of their names in the notebook of the company's mysterious new CEO, Robert California (two-time Emmy winnerJames Spader), triggering a frenzy of speculation.

 'The Office' which won the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2006, scored with four nominations including another series nod. That brings to 39 its career total with four wins. This year’s nominations include nine-time nominee Steve Carell, who will compete in the Lead Actor category again.
