James Scott leaves Days Of Our Lives

James Scott who plays E J DiMera has left 'Days Of Our Lives' as of yesterday after 8 years. He will air well into the fall of this year.

This is a great loss for the soap since James was a favorite and he and Allison Sweeney were a sort of "SuperbadCouple". Fans will miss them both and we wonder who will step up to take over this antihero role.

Days is all about family and the Brady and DiMera families are featured regularly. Let's bring back more Bradys and Hortons and make Salem the way it used to be. Marlena and John need more time also.

NBC/Corday Productions released this very kind statement on the actor’s departure: “We are saddened but supportive of James Scott’s decision to leave the show after eight years to take some personal time and pursue new projects. His contribution to the show has been tremendous and we wish him the best always.”

James Scott shared his feelings: “I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to NBC, Sony and Corday, particularly Ken Corday, for the amazing 8 year run on Days of our Lives and for graciously supporting me in my decision in leaving the show to take personal time. To the unbelievably loving fans, I can’t begin to express my gratitude for your love and support over the years. I will miss you immensely.” has a different take on James leaving here.

I cannot personally report this since I have not heard of this from any other source so read with an open mind please.

Days Of Our Lives can be see weekdays on NBC at 1 p.m.
