James Rollins to speak at Famous Author luncheon on February 21

The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center announced the launch of an exciting new lecture series earlier this season. Sponsored by FineMark National Bank & Trust in partnership with the Nick Linn Lecture Series and the Friends of the Library of Collier County, the Famous Author Luncheon Series invites iconic authors to share their bestselling experiences and tips with southwest Florida residents and visitors in the Grand Atrium of the Davis Art Center.

The series opens tomorrow, February 12, with N.Y. Times bestselling author Brad Meltzer, who penned The Tenth Justice, Dead Even, The First Counsel, The Millionaires, The Zero Game and most recently, The Inner Circle.
 
Meltzer will be followed by author James Rollins on Tuesday, February 21 and Andrew Gross on Monday, March 12.

Each of the lectures begins at 11 a.m. with a VIP reception that seques into a noon salad luncheon in the Grand Atrium prepared and served by Frisco's Catering.
 
James Rollins is the best known for his Sigma Force thriller series (Sandstorm, Map of Bones, Black Order, The Judas Strain, The Last Oracle, The Doomsday Key and, most recently, The Devil Colony), as well as the novelization of blockbuster movie, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Rollins has authored six stand-alone adventure thrillers as well.
 
He is also author of the Jake Ransom Series for kids and adults (Jake Ransom and the Skull King's Shadow and Jake Ransom and the Howling Sphinx.
 
A multiple New York Times bestselling author, Rollins is a co-founder of International Thriller Writers, Inc. and, in 2009, served as that organization’s co-President alongside author Steve Berry.
 
The cost of attending just the lecture is just $35 for members and $60 non-members. The price of attending the lecture and lunch is $50 for members and $75 non-members. For those who desire Gold Circle treatment, with admission to the VIP reception, tickets cost $60 for members and $85 non-members.
