According to Express on Oct. 5, James Nesbitt who is known for his role of Bofur in the Peter Jackson film "The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey" and the upcoming "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" had recently split up with his wife of 19 years. Considering that Nesbitt had been away from home for about two years filming the popular trilogy, apparently this may have been what instigated the split. The couple is, however, are on amicable terms with each other.
The wife, Sonia Forbes-Adams and their daughters had taken the expected journey to New Zealand to accompany the "dwarven" father as he worked on the film project, however, the move was too much for the family to handle.
It seems that Nesbitt did have indiscretions with other women in his life such as co-stars and others that he encountered when working other projects. He did admit that his behavior had been attributed to alcohol usage.
"It was never anything to do with my wife. Any time I did any-thing like that, drink was involved. I don’t think I did anything sober. I just regret all the hurt that it caused to my family".
Recently, Nesbitt had started working on a new series called "Babylon" that will be aired next week and had asked to have his privacy respected in regards to his recent marital hardship.
