James Holmes told to 'rot in hell' after judge approves defense motion

On Friday an angry father sitting in the Centennial, Colo. court room of accused mass murderer James Holmes yelled "Rot in hell, Holmes," after the district judge agreed to let the defendant's lawyer delay the suspect's arraignment.

Steve Hernandez's daughter, Rebecca, aged 32, was shot and killed in the Century 16 theater shooting by the theater rampage suspect. And his outburst was admonished by the judge; however, Judge Sylvester also told the angry man that he was sorry for his loss. Hernandez said he "meant no disrespect to the court."

Judge William Sylvester approved the defense's motion to delay the Aurora suspect James Holmes plea arraignment, setting the new date for March 12, which gives James Holmes and his attorney more time to decide what his plea will be more than a month from now.
