According a post on director of "Guardians of the Galaxy's" James Gunn's Facebook Page on Saturday, he had taken a photo with a cosplay fan and costumer at Atlanta's 2014 Dragon Con. The cosplayer is likely Lee Hurley of Hurley FX who was seen posting photos on his Facebook page of the Groot costume in progress and various components used to create the masterpiece. He also had one massive set of what appears to be custom made platform shoes to give him the height he needs to be authentic or to be at least high enough to acquire a quarnex battery.
Lee of Hurley FX even had a picture photo with him and Gunn in this truly authentic masterpiece of a costume. There was also displayed on the page the recreated orb prop in which contained an Infinity Stone as seen in the movie. It appears the special effects prop and costume make really all out with his passion in the craft and even Sean Gunn took a piggy back ride on the Groot cosplayer.
Dragon Con is currently running in Atlanta now and is a host too many out there sharing their craft and designs from various scenes to the recent and most trending comic book movies of all time. It takes a lot of time, hard work, financial sacrifices and patience to see the product until its final end. Whence the end comes, an appreciation for the final product is well received by convention patrons.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" has currently surpassed even "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" as the number one domestic box office movie blockbuster of 2014 and is currently in theaters everywhere.
