James Bond's Daniel Craig has a thing for Aston Martins on and off the screen

The Aston Martin has become synonymous with James Bond ever since it was first introduced in 1964's "Goldfinger." As a result it should come as no surprise that the iconic car has become the favorite for Bond’s most recent portrayer, Daniel Craig, as well.

Craig reportedly took possession of a brand new red Aston Martin Vantage Roadster this weekend, supposedly a belated 45th birthday present (either to himself or possibly from his wife, actress Rachel Weisz.) Weisz is probably best known for the first two “Mummy” movies and the “Constant Gardner,” as well as the newly released "Oz: The Great and Powerful.”

The two-seater car which cost £150,000 British (approximately $223,000 U.S.) was personally delivered to his London home this past weekend. It features a body comprised of aluminum, magnesium alloy, composite, and steel and has a six-speed manual transmission. It can go from 0-60 mph in a mere 4.7 seconds and can max out at 180 mph, although the speedometer goes all the way up to 220 mph.
