The James Beard Foundation has released their list of notable chefs and restaurants for 2012 and Massachusetts made many appearances on the list! The awards always highlight some of the greatest and most talented people in areas throughout the country each year, within the food and drinks industry. It is great to see so many local businesses and people on the list of nominees.
On Monday May 7th, 2012, the final awards will be given out at the Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in NYC, with tickets on sale Monday, March 19th (Box Office 914.231.6180), in case you have an interest in attending. Though recipients of the awards do not receive monetary rewards if they do win in their nominated categories, there are still medals to take home along with a certificate, plus it is a huge honor to be showcased amongst some of the best restaurant and bar related professionals.
