James Beard Foundation announces Book, Journalism, Broadcast, Chef Semifinalists

Best Chef Nominee for Northeast region includes Gerry Hayden, The North Fork Table and Inn, Southold, Long Island.

Chef Gerry is an outstanding culinary artist, featured in this Examiner's book, "The Hamptons & Long Island Homegrown Cookbook."

He will take home the award this year, recognized for his contribution to elevating the world of food. He is a thought leader, a crusader for food equality and homegrown resources and creating gastronomic delights.

And a New York salute will surely go out to The Spotted Pig's April Bloomfield. Or Wylie...
