The Jamaican bobsled team arrived in Park City, Utah and were probably some of the most famous athletes in town. The team is on their way to the 2014 Sochi Olympics and their journey has been difficult. According to the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday the team has qualified, but they are still searching for donations so they can get to Sochi. The team needs $80,000 and with the Olympics roughly three weeks away it's come down to the wire for financial support.

A stop at the Sundance Film Festival was one way to pick up support. Mingling with the stars and looking for donors, the team seemed relaxed and delighted in sharing their hopes and dreams for the Winter Olympics. Don’t worry about the time off needed to get to Park City as the team is practicing near the resort town and didn't need to drive too far to see all the famous faces of Hollywood.

While the Jamaican bobsled team is working out their dream run for the Olympics, the world has stepped in to help them financially. Strangers, fans and even a few bobsledding enthusiasts have come together to raise more than $121,000 as of Tuesday morning. Putting the funds together on the crowdfunding site Crowdtilt, the team looks to be well on their way to Sochi to compete for the gold.

Hopefully before the team got a few autographs from the stars at the Sundance Film Festival too. As the chance to meet some of Hollywood’s elite is just like going for the gold!
