As reported by the official page of the NFL, Charles scored five touchdowns against his AFC West rivals the Raiders on Sunday.
The key to this success by Charles was the Raiders’ defense unable to stop or read the screen pass by the Chiefs. Charles scored three touchdowns from screen passes.
Jamaal Charles also ran one touchdown into the endzone and caught another for a 71-yard touchdown, totaling five TDs. Not good for the Silver and Black’s defense!
Also, the secondary, which was supposed to be the Oakland Raiders strongest unit, allowed Alex Smith to throw for 287 yards in 20 attempts with five touchdowns. No interceptions for Charles Woodson and his gang!
The only turnover in the game that favored the Raiders was the fumble that Smith lost, cause by the defensive line in the fourth quarter. Too late!
The quarterback situation is still pretty bad for the Raiders as Matthew McGloin threw four picks; however, he did get 297 yards with two touchdowns. The pics, the first returned for a touchdown in the first quarter, were too many and caused the loss as well.
Also, the same screen pass plays the the Kansas City Chiefs executed all day with Jamaal Charles are the same type of plays that the Oakland Raiders should be executing with Marcel Reece. C’mon!
That is all for today!
