Cascade has turned to one of their own to take over the Champion football program.

Jake Tyre, a 2002 graduate of Cascade has been named head football coach to succeed Kenny Parker who resigned last month.

"Tyre is a Cascade alumni and bleeds orange and black," Cascade Principal Tim Harwell said. "Jake’s passion for our school and football program is undeniable and I firmly believe he will carry on the proud tradition of Cascade Football."

Parker was the leader of the program for the previous 18 years and complied a 128-73 record over that time.

The Champions made 11 playoff appearances under Parker including back to back Quarterfinal appearances in 2008 and 2009.

Cascade also made playoff appearances in three different classifications (Class 1A, 2A and 3A under Parker's leadership.

The Champions are coming off a 7-4 record as they were beaten by Notre Dame in the first round of the 3A playoffs.
